Goals
I set out to document the stories of diverse women outdoor role models around the world in order to:
- Promote diverse women’s representation in the outdoor and environmental media
- Provide women of color with role models who look, sound and live like them
- Inspire girls and women to overcome challenges and make a difference in their communities and environment
- Break down stereotypes of women in the outdoors
- Support the social movement for women’s rights and the improvement of their environmental and socioeconomic conditions
- Advocate women’s involvement in science, environmental conservation, and adventure in the outdoors
