Partners

My partners share a similar mission to create a better and just world for all people and the environment. They support my mission through providing me grants, a discount on services, necessary equipment and speaking opportunities. Together, this project is possible.

Better World Shopping Guide
Dr. Ellis Jones, the author of the book, has been donating the sales of his book for my project. His book became a tool to take a responsible consumer action dollar by dollar in my everyday life. His work gives everyone a hope that we all can make a difference in our environment and people’s lives by choosing socially and environmentally responsible companies.
Flip Video
Flip Video has sponsored me with a HD video camcorder to document stories for the project. Flip Video makes story telling accessible for everyone! Flip Video Spotlight, the company’s giving program, has been helping charitable organizations use video to make the world a better place.
NatureBridge
NatureBridge, a non-profit environmental education organization, has been my employer since 2000. They granted me a sabbatical and two cash awards: Matt Baxter Award and Bishop Marcus Award. Their Diversity Initiative has made a tremendous impact on how I see the world through different cultural lenses and inspired me to dream about this project.
Patagonia
Patagonia San Francisco store has promised to donate their outdoor clothing I need for the project. Their clothes are made to last long and some are made with post-consumer recycled plastic. The company uses business to inspire solutions to the environmental crisis and has many environmental programs.
REI
REI, the outdoor recreation retail co-op, has provided me with speaking opportunities at their retail stores. I much appreciated those opportunities and I look forward to more speaking engagements in the future around the country! REI’s stewardship program has been providing opportunities for people and communities to give to others and environment.
WorldNomads
WorldNomads, a travel insurance company, has sponsored me with a discount on the travel insurance policy for the duration of my project. They have a strong commitment to travel philanthropy. Their Footprints Program have helped raise money for community development projects worldwide that help end poverty.

Mr. Bursiel, the owner of the Wright Air Service, supports environmental causes and has sponsored me with a discount on flight between Fairbanks and Arctic Village. The company has been providing a reliable air transportation in Interior Alaska since 1968. Their success in the air service comes from maintaining the highest of standard safety.
